In order to help education, policy and business leaders move forward a comprehensive agenda focused on educational assessments that support for 21 st century skills, the Partnership for 21st Century Skills has released a report, The Assessment of 21st Century Skills: The Current Landscape, along with an online tool, Assess 21.

The Assessment of 21st Century Skills: The Current Landscape is written for policy, education and business leaders who are focused on moving forward an agenda for 21 st century learning. The report offers the current landscape of educational assessments that support 21 st century learning. It also defines key terms and concepts in the field of measurements; describes current activities in particular content and skill areas; highlights promising assessments in development; and outlines key principles and strategic recommendations for current and future efforts to develop 21st century learning assessments.

Assess 21
Assess 21 is a Web-based repository for information on assessments of 21 st century skills. Assess 21’s goal is to highlight what assessments are available as well as make visible where particular gaps in the assessment of 21 st century content and skill domains exist. Initially stocked with current assessments uncovered in the Partnership’s research, this repository is designed to serve as a central hub for background information on 21 st century skills assessments as they become available through submissions through the website. The online tool can be found at http://www.21stcenturyskills.org/assess21.
